I feel good about last week, because I did study almost everyday. In the whole two weeks before last week, I left my study behind and hangout with friends every day and every night. That did leave me a feeling of guilt, though I had a really good excuse.
Yesterday was my friend Gabriela’s birthday, her party was held at a bar in Williamsburg. Since this is my very first time to join a typical American’s party, I felt nothing but excitement. On the subway home at 2am, I was thinking “What a funny night, what a good experience in life!”.
Gabriela and I, we met each other in community service, both of us had done many volunteer projects of New York Cares. It is not something difficult for a tourist like me, in fact, I have nothing else serious to do in New York, but as a New Yorker who has a full-time job like her. How come does she have free time? Even she has free time, I’m still wondering about what kind of motivation is driving her to be a volunteer instead of a fun seeker in this attractive city. For a 22 year old girl, no wonder it is something special.
